Thanks so much for your reply. In fact, after I had seen your blog entry, I set my business email with Gmail. Keeping fingers crossed that it works for me too. Many thanks!

Hi Jessica,

Thanks for the comment. I can understand your paranoia about keeping email online. But, at some point, you just have to trust things will work out, especially if it means improved efficiency for you. And as you pointed out, chances are your PC will crash before Google. :-)

As far as tips, what I did when I started was set up my Gmail so that my business email stayed on the original server (Network Solutions). That way, it would always be there and I could still download it into Entourage (the Mac version of Outlook). Once I was confident in Gmail's abilities, I changed my settings in Gmail so that email downloaded into Gmail was deleted from the server. I now just check email for all our businesses and personal accounts in one, efficient location.

Hey, thanks for the gmail review. I use gmail for private stuff and love it much more than outlook for my professional stuff. I have been thinking about moving everything to gmail... but have not really tried to figure out how to set it up. Any tips? I was also scared that gmail might "crash" or gets some KILLER Virus and I lose all my emails... I know it's more likely my PC crashes before gmail would crash. Just paranoid of keeping everything online! Anyway, tnx again.. it was very helpful!
